The 2025 class like every freshman class breathes immediate fresh air into the high school landscape in every state as it presents a look into the future with a level of purity that the business side of the game can negatively impact at times at the older level.  No state is an exception to this and the state of Wisconsin has more than their fair share of highly talented freshman.  Front and center in the state is Xzavion Mitchell of Oshkosh North High School.

A long athletic plus skilled wing who boasts a 6-7 185 plus pound frame, Mitchell is the clear cut top 2025 prospect in the state of Wisconsin politics aside and he’s just scratching the surface of his potential.  While he has range beyond the arc his game is predicated on slashing through traffic, scoring around the basket, attacking the rim in transition, and scoring from the mid-range level in a variety of ways.  His feel is advanced, his instincts are mature on the court, and the efficiency with how he operates continues to allow his potential to shine through game in and game out.  At the high school varsity level this season he’s been electric to the tune of 22 ppg 8.5 rpg and 2.4 spg all while shooting almost 64% from the field.

A high major talent that really started to take off last spring and summer inside the NY2LA “GNBA” middle school platform with the Phenom University-Team Herro program and he hasn’t looked back during the high school season.  Mitchell is an elite impact talent with a huge ceiling that high major Division 1 schools will be courting heavily in the coming years.  As 2025 prospects go he has top 10 national potential and he’s setting the 2025 bar in the state of Wisconsin this season.
