The fall NY2LA Sports Futures Camp was a major showcase for many of the region’s growing young hoops stars at the underclassmen high school level. Take a look at just some of the players who showed out with prime performances on Saturday with the recap below.

AMAR AUGILLARD – 2021 – SF – ZION BENTON H.S.
Augillard was outstanding on the attack in his team’s games. The 6'5" wing forward was able to handle the ball on the break often and flew in the floor to both make plays himself or clean up the glass and finish plays at the rim. He had a number of impressive athletic dunks.

BLESSED BARHAYIGA – 2022 – F/C – OSSEO SENIOR H.S.
Barhayiga played really hard and showed an affinity for finding rebounds on both offense and defense. He was excellent on the glass and then did a nice job finishing with good touch in his short shots around the rim.

LEARIC DAVIS – 2022 – SF – BRADLEY TECH
Davis showed off his athleticism and determination in the different games. He was out in transition and often and finished great at the basket playing on the rim. He also showed he can get after it on defense and turn turnovers into points for his team.

TYRESE HUNTER – 2021 – PG – RACINE ST. CATHERINE’S H.S.
Hunter displayed his improving outside game where he knocked down some outside shots. He still showed off his smooth and explosive athleticism when attacking the basket.

DANILO JOVANOVICH – 2022 – G/F – WHITNALL H.S.
Jovanovich made some excellent plays with the ball in his hands Saturday. He was slashing lane lines and showed great body control when going up. He finished off a lot of plays with good feel how to score past or over defenders.

DYLAN KUEHL – 2021 – G/F – HUSTISFORD H.S.
Kuehl had a solid day on both ends of the court, playing stout defense and rebounding the ball well. On offense he showed strength attacking the paint and athleticism rising up on defenders and scoring on or near the rim.

LOGAN LANDERS – 2021 – F/C – BROOKFIELD ACADEMY H.S.
Landers again showed why he can be one of the top bigs in the region. He was hitting some shots including a nice turnaround mid-range shot in the final game that looked smooth. He rebounded well and protected the middle tough.

JOHN LOVELACE JR – 2021 – SG – WAUWATOSA EAST H.S.
Lovelace Jr. is long and athletic and made a lot of great plays Saturday. He knocked down perimeter shots confidently, he attacked the hoop and finished with good control, and also showed off his dunking ability. Lot of upside still to work with in his game.

NOLAN RIEDER – 2021 – F/C – SUSSEX HAMILTON H.S.
Rieder finished some nice plays around the basket in the post and with offensive rebounds. His defense and rebounding though were where he was most effective, controlling the defensive glass and protecting the paint with his length and shot blocking.

RYAN ROBILLARD – 2023 – G – LUXEMBURG-CASCO H.S.
Robillard was again displaying his shooting and scoring ability Saturday. His biggest play came in the waning seconds down 2 when he pulled up in the defense’s eye and buried a deep three to take the lead.

DONAVAN SHORT – 2022 – F/C – DENMARK H.S.
Short had a few really nice shots in the game and he played with good activity in the paint. He hustled and found his opportunities and converted them. He rebounded the ball well also.

SETH TRIMBLE – 2022 – PG – MENOMONEE FALLS H.S.
Trimble played some great basketball on Saturday really coming more and more into his own as a lead guard who can score the ball. He was attacking the paint and the rim aggressively showing out his developing dynamic athletic ability and determination off the bounce. Trimble also was smooth pulling up off the dribble and on the break from three-point range and drilling those attempts.

ALEX SINGLETON – 2021 – F – WAUWATOSA EAST H.S.
Singleton really showed his upside and developing all-around game. He was able to hit some tough jump shots and was otherwise really good when he drove to the hoop, showing good control with his takes. Tosa East has a couple long and athletic wings with Singleton and Lovelace Jr. who should pose problems for opponents.
