The proving grounds of the annual NY2LA Sports Generation Next Basketball Association (“GNBA”) are set to return again in 2020.  The platform for boys 6th-8th grade teams is regarded as one of the premier development stages for middle school basketball prospects with an alumni that boasts many of the top prospects in the country and even a potential NBA rookie of the year.

Launched in 2014 the GNBA has played host to the likes of current Miami Heat standout Tyler Herro, Talen-Horton Tucker (Los Angeles Lakers), Tyrese Haliburton (Iowa State), Jordan McCabe (West Virginia), Courtney Ramey (Texas), Jontay Porter (Missouri), Torrence Watson (Missouri), David DeJulius (Michigan), Nobal Days (Tulane), Joe Wieskamp (Iowa), Jericole Hellems (NC State), Reggie Perry (Mississippi State), Kahlil Whitney (Kentucky, etc. as well as some of the premiere high school prospects in the country right now including, but not limited to, Jalen Johnson (Duke), Caleb Love (North Carolina), Davion Bradford (Kansas State), Jonathan Davis (Wisconsin), Reece Beekman (Virginia), Bryce Hopkins (Louisville), Treyton Thompson (Minnesota), Dawson Garcia (Marquette), Jalen Suggs, Chet Holmgren, etc.

The 2020 installment of the GNBA promises to be exceptional once again and it will again play host to boys 6th-8th grade teams with two sessions of league play followed by the championships.  Also, the league will once again feature the GNBA Top 40 camp next summer but with a new twist to it as the camp will be a part of the re-launched NY2LA Sports Generation Next All-Star Camp for boys 6th-8th grade prospects in 2020.  The Generation Next All-Star Camp is synonymous with middle school excellence and historically it was the proving grounds camp for some of the top middle school talent in the Midwest with alumni that included the likes of Jabari Parker (Atlanta Hawks), Deonte Burton (Oklahoma City Thunder), Kevon Looney (Golden State Warriors), etc.
