In addition to the standouts and stock boosters from the 15U division, there were several players that had standout performances over the weekend. Here are a few more players from the 15U level who had impressive performances.

Bennett Basich - 2024 - G - Phenom University
Basich is a smart guard that stood out with his play on both ends. He works exceptionally hard on the defensive end to be a quality defender. On the offensive end, he stood out the most for his perimeter shooting. The freshman has great form on his shot from deep and can hit tough contested jumpers. He can also get to the basket off the dribble and has some bounce to his game.

Taevon Collier - 2024 - PF - Team Ten Jabari Parker
An active and athletic 6’6” forward that is a skilled shot blocker. He has great timing and gets up quickly to defend the interior at a high level. Collier is also a strong scorer posting up that showed a nice ability to finish over both shoulders.

JT Pettigrew - 2025 - F - Illinois Flight
As an eight-grader playing up, Pettigrew is already a strong and physical forward that overpowered defenders inside. Once he gets the ball on the block he is very tough to stop, plus he showed off a nice jumper stepping out and hitting some threes.

Jaden McKellips - 2024 - F - Chapman Basketball Gold
A tough and active forward that contributed in a number of ways for his team. He factored in on defense playing atop his team’s press, defender the paint, and can matchup with wings on the perimeter. He outmuscled opponents on the glass on both ends to rebound at a high rate. McKellips scored it well around the basket but also hit shots from the perimeter and can put the ball on the floor.

Trendell Whiting - 2024 - G - Illinois Wolves
Whiting proved that he was one of the top shooters amongst the 15U division over the weekend. During both days, he was knocking down threes at a high level with a great looking jump shot spotting up. He has some length and moves really well without the ball to get his shot off.
