Easily one of the most talented and impactful players at the Generation Next All-Star Camp was Edvardas Stasys. While he is only in the seventh grade, he has a very good ability on the floor with his advanced skills. He is a 5’11” forward of Naperville, IL and plays with the Paradise Bball program.
At the Generation Next All-Star Camp, not only was Stasys named as an All-Camp Selection but won the Big Man Award for the camp. He was one of the top scorers of the camp averaging 17 points a game but also led the camp in both rebounds and blocks.
While Stasys is a forward that can play big and make a huge impact in the paint, he also has good guard skills playing with the ball in his hands. He plays extremely well off the dribble attacking the basket. The forward has good handle but even better moves with the ball to maneuver incredibly well around defenders and get to the basket. Not only a good driver but also has a nice ability to finish when gets to the basket.
Even at a young age, Stasys sees the floor well and knows where to go with the ball. He has advanced game already and is a smart decision maker with the ball that does not try to force anything. It will be interesting to see how his game develops over the next two seasons before he enters high school.
