2023 6’5 Gavyn Hurley – Wisconsin Swing 17U
Gavyn Hurley competes with high energy every time he touches the floor and continued to impress for Wisconsin Swing on Saturday. Hurley has great size at the guard position at 6’5 and can get downhill and finish through contact at the rim. He has improved his jumper and knocked down a pair of threes when defenders went under screens on PNR. Hurley finished with 19 points in Swing’s win over Minnesota Comets.
2024 6’5 Amari McCottry – Power 5 16U
Amari McCottry scored 26 points on Saturday morning to lead Power 5 to a big win. He started the game hot from three showing his ability to make jumpers off the dribble and has great handle at his size to break guys down and get to the basket. He uses his length defensively to get deflections and had some athletic finishes above the rim on the break. McCottry recently picked up an offer from UW-Milwaukee and should see his recruitment continue to expand.
2026 6’4 Vaughn Karvala – Phenom University 14U
Vaugh Karvala made his debut for Phenom University this weekend playing up in the 15U division and had some impressive moments. At 6’4 the young wing prospect has a nice handle and a pretty jumper with an effortless release. He scored 19 points including 4 threes in a win on Saturday afternoon and looks like one of the top prospects in Wisconsin’s 2026 class at this stage. Karvala needs to add strength but I don’t think he is done growing and his upside is that of a potential high major wing prospect.
2023 6’8 Robert Peters – 24Up 17U
Robert Peters is one of the more intriguing 2023 prospects in Wisconsin and his potential was on full display on Saturday for 24Up. At 6’8 he is a fluid athlete and showed good ball handling ability, even spending time initiating offense off the dribble. Peters has good footwork around the basket and had a couple of really nice post moves to finish at the rim. His perimeter skillset at his size is advanced and had a sequence where he attacked off the dribble, countered and hit a tough step back jumper. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Peters get some low major D1 looks if he continues his strong play next week.
2023 5’11 Arhman Lewis – Movement Hoops 17U
Fresh off his commitment to Augustana University, Lewis was at his best on Saturday night for a short-handed Movement Hoops squad. His team lost to Wisconsin Swing but Lewis was incredible, finishing with 37 points and 6 assists in front of his future college coaches. He made 6 threes, used his speed to blow past defenders and finish at the rim and was at his best pushing the tempo in the open court where he made some great passes on the break to set up teammates.
2025 6’4 Aarom Womack – Team Haliburton 17U
Aaron Womack has played with both the 16U and 17U Team Haliburton groups this weekend, and impressed playing 2 years up with the older group on Saturday. Womack has a quick release on his jumper with efficient mechanics and is deadly as a floor spacer in catch and shoot. He made 4 threes in his team’s win, including 3 in a 2 minute stretch as they were pulling away late in the first half. With his size and shooting ability Womack is a prospect to watch closely over the next couple of years.
2023 6’0 Nate Dahl – Minnesota Comets 17U
His team lost a tough game to Wisconsin Swing but Nate Dahl did everything he could to keep Comets in the game, scoring 37 points including 18 of their first 20 to start the game and their first 10 points of the second half. Dahl finished in traffic, got to the free throw line and knocked down 3 threes as part of an impressive performance.
2023 6’2 KJ Vasser – All In Athletics 17U
KJ Vasser impressed for All In in a hard fought win over Wisconsin Dynasty, finishing with 23 points and the game winning basket on a strong take to the rim with under 5 seconds to play. Vasser did a good job of running the show offensively at the point guard position, got to the basket off the dribble and applies ball pressure defensively. Originally a class of 2022 prospect, Vasser will take a post-grad year at The Skill Factory in Atlanta.
