As well to the all-tournament selections, there was planet of talent, especially at the 14U level. All the players listed had a tremendous tournament and a real argument for the all-tournament team.
Elijah Bell – 2027 – G – Man Up
Bell is a lengthy and skilled guard with good size that was one of the top two-way players at the tournament. With his length, quickness, and defensive intensity, Bell is an incredibly tough on ball defender getting all over opposing guards and wings shutting them down. He has good moves with the ball and plays well off the dribble on the attack. He was often getting into the paint and finishing right over defenders but also shot the ball well off the dribble.
Edward Bullock – 2027 – G/F – BEAST Athletics
A skilled and agile wing who is strong with the ball in his hands often getting into the defense and making plays. He showed a nice ability to read the floor and quickly attack any gaps in the defense. Bullock is a crafty finisher who was scoring right through defenders in plenty of traffic. With all his physical tools, he is also a tough and versatile defender.
Kager Knueppel – 2027 – G/F – Wisconsin Lutheran
A lengthy and high IQ wing who has a well-rounded game but stood out the most with his shooting. One of the top shooters of the entire tournament with his great form hitting shots in bunches at a high percentage. In one single game, Knueppel knocked down six threes and five threes in another. He’s a smart wing who reads the floor well and is a good decision maker not forcing anything as well to getting his teammates involved.
Tref Rademaker – 2027 – F/C – NESYB
As a part of a highly talented NESYB team that reached the title game, Rademaker took advantage of all his opportunities scoring on a very high percent of his paint touches. He has great size at 6’5” to go along with some strength and mobility. He scored the ball very effectively while posting up with some good strong moves. The big man was also one of the better rebounders of the tournament grabbing boards right over opponents at a very high rate. Rademaker has continued to play at a very high level all year showing great upside.
Duke Ross – 2027 – SF – LVL Elite
Ross is a highly impactful forward and a key to his team’s success with all he did. He is very skilled offensively as shoots the ball well from the outside off the catch and dribble. Ross is at his best as a shot maker but there is much more to his game. He also impressed with his ability to handle the ball and create for his teammates.
Jackson Snider – 2027 – SF – M14 Hoops Gold
Snider is a lengthy wing forward with great versatility. As well to having some size and being able to defend multiple positions, he can also handle the ball and run the point. He scored it very effectively going to the basket in the half court and transition game finishing right over defenders. With his long strides and good moves, he proved to be very difficult to stop on the attack.
Will Verkuilen – 2027 – G – Grind Elite
Verkuilen was a real standout on both ends of the floor and a huge reason for Grind Elite’s championship title. With his quickness and defensive intensity, he wreaked havoc on opposing guards forcing plenty of steals and continuously interrupting offenses. On the other end, he plays well with or without the ball. All tournament he shot the ball from deep at a high percentage but also was able to attack the paint.
