The 16U field was loaded at this years Swish N’ Dish. Throughout the weekend and especially in the platinum bracket on Sunday, there were some tremendous games. The field included plenty of high-level prospects as well as many others that colleges will want to see this spring. Here are some of the players that had the top weekends for themselves.
Jamarion Batemon – 2025 – G – Power 5
All tournament long Batemon only continued to get better and prove he was one of the top scoring guards of the entire tournament. The sophomore is a knockdown shooter who moves exceptionally well with the ball to be able to create his own shot in addition to getting to the bucket. On Sunday he took his game to another level hitting six threes in the quarterfinals game and then another six in the next round in the semifinals.
Donovan Hamlin – 2025 – F – Underrated Elite
The 6’4” wing forward was one of the most aggressive and high energy players of the entire tournament. A physical player that uses his strength effectively to play big inside and outworks opponents to make plenty of winning plays. Hamlin scored the ball strongly around the paint but also got it done powering his way to the basket helping him have a 26-point game. On the other end, he is a very tough defender than can matchup with multiple positions and shut them down.
Davion Hannah – 2025 – G/F – Power 5
One of a few highly talented players from this 16U squad that reached the platinum semifinals. Even as a 2025, Hannah has a great deal of talents that will translate to the next level. He is a long and highly athletic wing standing at 6’6”. As well to his elite physical abilities, his skill level has taken great strides with playmaking off the dribble creating his own shot. He has only continued to cement his spot as one of the top 2025 players in the region.
Mike Jones – 2025 – F – Mac Irvin Fire
Jones was one of the most productive players of the tournament and a main reason why the Fire advanced all the way to the 16U championship game. He is a strong and athletic 6’8” forward that can be a force down inside but also played very well out on the perimeter making plays off the dribble and hitting threes. With his unique combination of tools, Jones had multiple big games, just taking them over at times. One of the top prospects of the entire tournament that should have a lot of eyes on him this spring.
Davis Kern – 2025 – F – Martin Brothers
One of the more skilled forwards at the 2025 level having himself a twenty-point game on the opening night of the tournament. He has a good combination of size at 6’8”, versatility, and skill set. There are not a ton of sophomores at his size being able to knock down threes, attack the basket, and score posting up. Very easy to see why Kern already has a great deal of division one interest plus an offer from Northern Iowa.
Bradley Longcor – 2025 – PG – Illinois Wolves
All tournament long Longcor impressed with his array of stellar point guard tools. Vision, handle, passing, IQ, feel, are all a part of his game. He excels playing on the attack, getting into the defense and either finishing or setting up one of his teammates for an easy basket. Add in some size at the point guard spot at 6’3” and he is a highly desirable prospect at the next level who already holds a couple of mid major offers.
Isaiah Mellock – 2025 – G – MTXE Premiere
The game of Mellock has come a tremendous way since his time last year with MTXE. He had multiple big games helping MTXE to the semifinals of the 16U platinum bracket. Mellock is a skilled scorer having games of 21, 18, 17, and 17 points. The guard is smart with the ball in his hands and was very effective getting into the paint where he finishes well in a crowd as well to his shot making ability.
Xzavion Mitchell – 2025 – G/F – Team Herro
There are so many different aspects to like about Mitchell’s game. Not only is he a wing with good size at 6’8” but has such a well-rounded skill set. He played well out on perimeter taking opponents off the dribble and hit some jumpers but was an overpowering force inside as well. With his blend of size, skill, toughness, he just has all the tools that make him such a desirable target already.
Antione West – 2025 – PG – All Ohio Red
West is a skilled scorer who can do so in bunches. He moves extremely well with the ball getting into the defense and is a crafty finisher all around the paint but also has a good jumper from the outside. West has great feel and an advanced skill set while just half way through his high school career.
