As well to the top performers, these stock booster all had great weekends with a very high level of play.
Amon Baylark – 2027 – F – AFO Michigan Mustangs
Baylark was one of a few players from this Mustangs team that impressed in a blowout of win of theirs on Sunday morning. He is an impactful forward with a nice blend of size, mobility, and length. He scored it well going to the basket including a dunk off a roll. As well to his offense, the forward was also a big part of his team’s pressure defense with also the ability to defend inside and out.
Cooper Borowicz – 2027 – G/F – Wisconsin Blizzard
The wing had a good performance at the Generation Next Invitational a few weeks ago and played even better this tournament. He has continuously come through when it mattered most in the end of games. In their opening game on Friday, he was big in the second half scoring from all over and grabbing some key rebounds. In a win on Saturday, Borowicz was the difference maker in overtime scoring all his teams seven points in the extra period. One of the more well-rounded players on the GNBA that can do so much on both ends.
Miller Haedt – 2027 – PG – Martin Brothers
While Haedt was one of the top point guards of the tournament running the offense and creating for others, he also has a good ability to score it himself. He started the tournament with a 15-point game and was a big reason for Martin Brothers advancing into the semifinals. He moves well with the ball getting plenty of paint touches and passes well on the moves but is also a versatile scorer with his jumper and ability to get all the way to the basket.
Kager Knueppel – 2027 – SF – Closed Gym
Up next from the Knueppel family is Kager. He is a lengthy wing already with good size and length to go along with his scoring ability. Knueppel was one of the top shooters of the tournament with a pure stroke spotting up from the outside. On Saturday, he hit five threes on his way to a 17-point game. A big reason why Closed Gyms made it all the way to the semifinals.
Austin Luchetti – 2027 – F – Wisconsin Swing
One of a few very good players on this Swing team who has led them to plenty of success on the GNBA this season including a quarterfinals appearance here. He is a high energy forward that was constantly outworking opponents to make plays and has some size at 6’4” to be a highly impactful player inside on both ends. He scored it consistently well, going for 18 in both games I saw of his doing so in the paint as well as attacking the basket strong.
Logan Ramczyk – 2027 – G/F – Grind Elite
While there was plenty of great shooters at the tournament, Ramczyk was possibly the best. In multiple games, he was hitting his three in bunches including five in a quarterfinal win and then another four in the title game. Not only did he consistently hit threes but did so at an extremely high percentage.
Dustin Roach – 2027 – G/F – 24Up
A high energy wing that does so much for his team. He really battles on the defensive end playing aggressive and forcing turnovers with the ability to matchup with multiple positions well. Roach also plays aggressive attacking the glass and attacking the basket. A real stat stuffer making plenty of plays who shined in a quarterfinals semifinals game.
Mike Rogers – 2027 – PG – Chapman Basketball
As well to being one of the purest point guard of the entire tournament, Rogers also displayed great shot making ability. He excels making plays off the dribble with his ability to create for himself and hit shots off the dribble from the mid-range and three. Though he also moves so well with the ball getting into the defense and distributing it out. For his age he has tremendous court vision, awareness, and passing skills. Down the stretch of a tight quarterfinals’ matchup as well as in the semifinals, Rogers was just taking over for large chunks of games, especially with his shot making hitting his jumpers off the dribble at an extremely high percentage.
Brandon Tennon – 2027 – F – MidPro Academy
Tennon had a solid start to the tournament on Friday flashing some abilities but turned it up a level on Saturday with a 16-point game for himself. He has some size already along with athleticism too. He was at his best playing in the paint on both ends of the floor shutting down the paint defensively and finishing strong inside but also showed some ability to make plays with the ball in his hands.
