After a great day one, it was even a better day two as we got deeper into bracket play with some quarterfinals action. Here is a small sample of the Friday’s standouts.

Camden Cerese – 2024 – G – Greater Purpose Athletics

After some great performances from Malachi Johnson earlier in the tournament, it was his backcourt mate Camden Cerese turn in the team’s night game. The guard was unstoppable, especially in the second half of the game finishing with a staggering 36 points. A highly skilled guard that excels with the ball in his hands making plays off the dribble scoring it from all three levels. 

Kon Knueppel – 2024 – G – Phenom University

It was clear in his game today that Knueppel is one of the most skilled 2024 players in the entire country. His scoring ability is unmatched as he went for 34 points in a win. It is not only his shot making that stands out but his full array of scoring ability getting it done in every way possible at an extremely high level. 

David Meriwether – 2024 – F/C – George Hill All Indy

When it mattered most, it was the 6’9” post coming through in the clutch. In the final seconds he was able to grab a rebound and hit the game winning put back to advance George Hill All Indy over CBA and into the semifinals in one of the best games of the day. The mobile big man was also key in their pair of wins Friday with his defensive play and aggressive rebounding. 

Luka Momcilovic – 2025 – F – Chapman Basketball

The game of Momcilovic has continued to improve this year and really showed today when the 6’7” forward scored 22 points in one of his games. He did much of his damage spotting up from the outside with a smooth jumper hitting his shots at a very high percentage. Though he also showed a good ability to score on the block as well as the mid-post. 

Luke Westerdale – 2025 – G – The Academy 

Westerdale continues to show he is one of the top scoring guards on the 16U level of the NY2LA Association. That was clear today when had a 25-point outburst, with 21 of it coming in the first half alone to put the game out of reach. His shot making is unmatched with a great ability to hit them off the dribble with deep range.
