Last up in coverage for the 14U group from the Generation Next Tip-Off is the ones to watch. All five of these players had a big impact during the tournament.
Tyler Chlan – 2028 – G – Kessel Heat
Along with Will Foley and Jared Van Donselaar, Chlan was a big reason why Kessel Heat made it to the semifinals. Chlan is a smart and energetic guard who plays very well on the attack but also hit some shots from the outside. He showed good decision making with the ball in his hands and did a nice job of creating for his teammates.
Charlie Klaas – 2028 – G – LVL Platinum
During the entire tournament, Klass was consistently making plays. He is a real high energy player that can impact the game in a variety of roles and was always outworking everyone else. He showed the ability to be a game changer defensively as a quick and active on ball defender coming up with plenty of steals. He way a key piece in all the success of LVL helping them to the semifinals.
Mason Markman – 2028 – SF – Man Up
Markman is a real do-it all wing. He plays with plenty of energy and was consistently making plays for his team to help them. He is a versatile scorer that got it done efficiently going to the basket, played some big defense down in the paint, really worked on the glass, and passed the ball well.
Seun Oladipo – 2028 – F – Man Up
One of the more versatile and impactful forwards at the 14U level. He has some size and strength plus plays with plenty of energy. Oladipo is a versatile defender who defended both wings and big men well in addition to being big on the glass. Offensively he scored it effectively in a number of ways in addition to passing it well.
Mason Wallace-Pedracine – 2028 – PF – Mad City Mambas
The power forward has some size and strength but also moves well out on the floor. He plays aggressive defending the paint but can also defend out on the perimeter. While he made his biggest impact with his interior play on both ends, he also showed a growing skill set including being able to make plays off the dribble and pass it well.
