In addition to the top performers and stock boosters, here are several more standouts from this past weekend who has tremendous tournaments.
TJ Adams – 2029 – PG – Illinois Attack
During multiple games, I was very impressed with the advanced point guard tools of Adams. He is strong with the ball in his hands and with his quickness was getting wherever he wanted with the ball. Even with defenders all over him, Adams handled plenty of pressure. Adams displayed good vision on the attack and is a very skilled distributor. In a bracket game on Saturday, Adams made some clutch plays down the stretch including some key free throws in a win.
Cooper Crane – 2029 – G/F – NS Ballerz
Crane proved to be one of the top shooters of the entire tournament regardless of level. He has a pure stroke from the outside and was hitting his shots at a very high percentage game after game with a good shot selection. A knockdown shooter off the catch who also showed the ability to create his own shot.
Lucas Olingou – 2029 – SF – Hoopademix
Over the course of multiple game, Olingou proved to be an incredibly high energy wing forward to be one of the more impactful players at the 13U level of the tournament. Any rebound or loose ball near him, the forward was sure to get it. He was also effective playing on the attack with good moves to get into the paint often and finish at a high rate even while in heavy traffic.
Kash Knueppel – 2029 – G/F – Wisconsin Lutheran
Knueppel is a versatile player who has only continued to improve over the past year. While he is a good scorer, he was making a big impact in a variety of ways all tournament long. On both cuts and drives, he scored it well going to the basket and finished the ball at a high rate. He also showed a versatile defensive ability, passes it well, and is an active rebounder.
Drew Lenz – 2029 – G/F – Wisconsin Reps
Each time I see Lenz play, he has continued to impress. While he is a very skilled scorer, Lenz also really impressed with his distributing ability in a game on Saturday. He has some size but also plays well with the ball with his handle with his handle and moves. Lenz was very aggressive attacking the basket and did a nice job seeing the floor creating for his teammates.
